What changes the price

  • System size. Bigger systems cost more in total but less per panel: a 20-panel system is about €700 per panel against €1,080 for a 6-panel system.
  • A battery. Adding one at install time costs less than adding it later. See battery prices.
  • The grant. The SEAI grant is capped at €1,800, which every system of 4 kWp or more reaches.
  • Your roof. Slate or tile type, roof height, split arrays and shading all affect the labour and equipment a quote includes.
